Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Indianapolis into Tourism in Indianapolis. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:56, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 6
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Marion County (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:15, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Possible copyright violation on Indianapolis Public Library article Comment
[edit]Hey Momoneymoproblemz: It looks to me like the material you added to the Indianapolis Public Library article with this edit is a direct copy or very close paraphrase of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library article in the Encyclopedia of Indianapolis (as shown by this preview on Google Books). Did you not realize that the book is under copyright? Indyguy (talk) 02:01, 8 August 2020 (UTC)

Indianapolis
[edit]Momoneymoproblemz - thank you for your work on Indianapolis. That article is an enormous task—and I will happily stay away from it. A few suggestions: 1) I love photos and maps, but make sure you do not have too many. 2) Do not let the section on sports grow too big. People will want to add to it. Keep the size reasonable like it is now. 3) If possible, find a recent GA for a major city, and use it as a pattern or template for what should and should not be in Indianapolis. 4) Good Luck! Be patient, and thanks again for all your contributions. TwoScars (talk) 16:41, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
